CURRENT BOY SCOUTS
If already an active Boy Scout in another troop, your Scout may remain in his home troop and participate in Troop 125 activities and meetings. A courtesy contact with the Scoutmaster or Advancement Coordinator of his home troop should be made so that his participation, advancements, and merit badges earned withTroop125 will be accepted by the home troop and his information be kept up-to-date.
A current Scout may also transfer in to Troop 125. Print the Youth Application, fill out the Parent/Guardian section (bottom portion), SIGN and mail to the address below. In addition, a Transfer Form (top/youth portion) should be completed by the home Troop and submitted to Troop 125. An Individual History Report containing applicable advancement dates and merit badge information would also be beneficial to the Scout. If the home troop uses TroopMaster software, the transfer of the Scout's information may be facilitated. Just ask the Scoutmaster to contact Troop 125 at Scoutmaster@troop125.us.
WHAT THE SCOUT NEEDS
BOY SCOUT HANDBOOK: Your Scout will need the handbook in order to advance.
UNIFORM: Your scout will need a Boy Scout uniform. For specific requirements, please see uniforms.
EQUIPMENT: Because of the generous contributions of parents and supporters of Troop 125, we are beginning to assemble the equipment necessary for troop camping, i.e., coolers, cooking equipment and utensils. We are working to obtain all of the equipment required for "First Class" camping experiences.
If not already individually equipped for the Scouting experience, your Scout will need to begin procuring individual camping and hiking equipment in order to participate in hikes and wilderness camping. For specific requirements, please see equipment.
TROOP DUES: The Troop asks for $5 per month ($45) per year from each Scout to pay for patches, snacks, competition prizes, and craft supplies. Because Troop 125 is a non-profit entity separate from the Academy, its financial support is received primarily through Troop dues, individual contributions, and its annual popcorn sales. Special financial gifts should be made payable to Troop 125.
MEALS: Meals for camping events are provided by the Academy.

STUDENT ACCOUNT: If it is easier for you, we can pay the registration fees, Troop dues, handbook, and uniform costs for you through your cadet's personal student account if we receive written (email) permission to do so.
